The Cronometer Community Database (CRDB) is maintained by Cronometer's curation team. All foods submitted will be thoroughly reviewed by the team and edited appropriately to ensure complete and accurate information. If you see a food in our database with inaccurate or incomplete information, please report an issue.
Please only submit a food to our database if it is a common, packaged, store-bought or restaurant food with nutrition information readily available either directly on the food's packaging or on the brand's official website.
Please refrain from submitting homemade foods or whole foods that do not include nutrition facts on the packaging. Examples of foods you should create custom foods for instead:
- Whole Fruits and Vegetables
- Homemade Bread
- Recipes
How to Submit a Food
If a food does not exist in our database:
- Click on the Plus button at the bottom of the app > Scan Food
- A New Food! pop up will appear > Tap on Create New
- Please include clear photos of both the front of the package (including the brand and name of the product) and the nutrition information listed on the package.
-
You will be prompted to enter a name, serving size, and nutrition information, as found on your food's packaging or Brand's official website. You are not required to enter any nutrition information, but we do require a name a serving size.
Keep in mind, it is in your best interest to add the nutrition data accurately and completely if you wish to use this food in your diary right away. We have hundreds of foods submitted daily so it may take us some time to get to adding your food to the database.
If your food has an American style nutrition facts table, we will do our best to autofill the nutrition facts from the table. -
