The Oracle Nutrient Search can help you find foods that are good sources for a particular nutrient.
To use the Oracle:
- Go to the Foods tab
- Select Oracle Nutrient Search
- Nutrient > Choose the nutrient you're interested in
- Ranked By > Choose if you'd like to rank your nutrient search by The Oracle, the highest amount of the nutrient per Calorie, or highest amount per gram.
The Oracle food search ranks the search results based on nutrient density and food popularity, actively learning based on user preferences. The Oracle ranking is the most user friendly and practical option. - Choose if you'd like to Search all categories or Select Search Categories to exclude certain categories.
This can be especially useful for people adhering to a plant-based diet by choosing to exclude categories containing animal products, such as Beef Products and Sausages and lunch meats. etc. It can also be useful to narrow your search, for example, to find the seafood with the most selenium by only choosing only one category, Finfish & Shellfish.
