In this section, you can view and amend the following information for your clients:
- Weight Goal
- Macro & Energy Targets
- Macro Schedule
- Energy Expenditure
- Nutrient Targets
- Nutrition Scores
Note: You can confirm which client you are viewing at the bottom of the screen
Weight Goal
You can set a Weight Goal for your client to either to lose, maintain or gain weight.
If your client wishes to lose or gain weight, you can also chose a Weight Goal Rate to determine your Goal Forecast. This will automatically calculate either a daily Energy Deficit (to lose weight) or Energy Surplus (to gain weight), giving a daily Energy Target.
To set your client's weight goal:
- Tap on the Current Weight if you need to update it. By default, this will be set to maintain weight
- If you'd like to adjust the weight goal, tap on Weight Goal
- Enter the weight goal and tap Next
- Use the + and - buttons to adjust the Weight Goal Rate.
- Tap on Done
- Tap on Show Target Breakdown to see how the Daily Energy Target is calculated based on the Weight Goal.
.
Macro & Energy Targets
You can personalize your client's Macro and Energy Targets exactly the same way you can in your personal Cronometer account, including:
- Macro Targets using Macro Ratios
- Macro Targets using Fixed Targets
- Macro Targets using Keto Calculator
- Options to Track Carbohydrates
- Setting an Energy Target
- Adding Expenditure Above Baseline
- Restore Default Settings
You can find a comprehensive guide on how to set these up in our Macro & Energy Targets User Guide.
Macro Schedule
Create templates for your client's macronutrient targets and apply them to different days of the week. Use your templates to plan different macronutrient targets depending on your client's workout days or diet plan.
Our Macro Scheduler allows you to make changes to their targets for a day, without changing their regularly scheduled programming.
You can find a comprehensive guide on how to set this up in our Macro Scheduler User Guide.
Energy Expenditure
These are the settings Cronometer uses to estimate your client's Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE), in other words, their energy (calories/kilojoules) burned in a day.
TDEE is made up of:
- Basal Metabolic Rate - energy burned at rest.
- Activity Level - energy burned through activities of daily living and exercise.
- Tracker Activity - energy burned from activity (outside of logged workouts) imported from linked devices.
- Exercise - energy burned from workouts logged manually or imported from linked devices.
- Thermic Effect of Food (TEF) - energy burned from digesting your food (optional).
You can find out more information about how these are calculated in our Energy Expenditure User Guide.
Nutrient Targets
By default, we set each nutrient to the recommended values set by the USDA Dietary Reference Intakes (DRIs), based on age and sex.
In these settings, you have the option to:
- Customize any macro or micro nutrient target for your client
- Toggle the visibility on/off so it can be seen or hidden in your client's diary
- Select the eight Highlighted Nutrient Targets that are displayed in the diary page
Nutrition Scores
You can choose to show/hide Nutrition Scores from your client's account by toggling on/off Show Nutrition Scores.
You can then use the drop-down arrows to choose the Nutrition Scores you would like to be displayed in your client's account, which will be displayed on their diary page as seen o the left screen below:
.
The right screen shows how you or your client can tap on a score to find out how each of the groups contribute to these health categories and which nutrient targets are used to calculate the score.
