If you often eat a breakfast consisting of oats, raisins, brown sugar, cinnamon, and milk, it can be time consuming to enter all five of these ingredients every day. You can create a <em>My Breakfast Porridge</em> recipe which contains these ingredients. Once created, you can just search and <a href=\"https://support.cronometer.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018955211\">add the recipe</a> to your diary.</p><p class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-left\">If you have eaten your meal with another Cronometer user, you can create one recipe and <a href=\"https://support.cronometer.com/hc/en-us/articles/360058911291-Mobile-Sharing\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"undefined\">share it with your friend</a>. </p><p class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-left\">You can Create recipes in the Foods tab two ways:</p><p class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-left\">1. <a href=\"#h_01FHB19G5VV72JRDDN3ZWEPFW5\" target=\"_self\">Manually Create a New Custom Recipe</a></p><p class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-left\">2. <a href=\"https://support.cronometer.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403966087828\" target=\"_self\">Import a Recipe</a></p><p class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-left\">3. Steps to Create a New Custom Recipe</h2><h3 id=\"h_01HZ327JKR64YZE9DT1M1E9YHH\">Go to the Foods tab</h3><p class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-left\"><img class=\"wysiwyg-image-resized\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 516/1116; width: 50%;\" src=\"https://support.cronometer.com/hc/article_attachments/50656546910484\" width=\"516\" height=\"1116\"></p><h3 class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-left\" id=\"h_01HZ327JKRK822J7Y18QXHJ85J\">Tap Create Recipe or Import Recipe</h3><p class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-left\">Create Recipe will take you to the Recipe editor, where you swipe through the pages to create your recipe manually by entering a name, serving size, ingredients, notes, and a review of the nutrition information.</p><h3 class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-left\" id=\"h_01HZ327JKRPWE0T0PWBHJTNGB5\"><img src=\"https://support.cronometer.com/hc/article_attachments/27058762640148\" width=\"300\" height=\"650\"></h3><h3 id=\"h_01HZ327JKRABWKBE6KP1RZ7WZA\">Enter a Name for Your Recipe</h3><p class=\"wysiwyg-indent1\">Choose a name that best describes your recipe which you will be easily able to remember when searching for your recipe to add to your diary.</p><p class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-center wysiwyg-indent1\"> </p><h3 id=\"h_01HZ327JKR8BPF3W6HAV5BM2PB\">Add Ingredients</h3><p class=\"wysiwyg-indent1\">Add ingredients with the orange + . Ensure you have added the appropriate serving size of each ingredient to make up 1 entire recipe.</p><p class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-center wysiwyg-indent1\"><em>If you have created a weight based recipe, ensure you have chosen ingredients with weight based serving sizes. If you have chosen an ingredient with a volumetric serving size, you may encounter problems when entering your recipe into your diary.</em></p><p class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-left\"><img src=\"https://support.cronometer.com/hc/article_attachments/27058776299156\" width=\"300\" height=\"650\"></p><p class=\"wysiwyg-indent1\">Tap Next or swipe the page to the left to continue to the next step.</p><h3 id=\"h_01HZ327JKR9D3KWKBFBT9P9HRR\"> </h3><h3 id=\"h_01HZ327JKRRABXRRNC5ZKARBP8\">Add a Serving Size</h3><p class=\"wysiwyg-indent1\">Determine the serving sizes of your recipe as either servings based or weight based.</p><p class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-center wysiwyg-indent1\"><em><strong>It is important to note that once you save your custom recipe you will no longer be able to change between servings based and weight based servings sizes so take care here.</strong></em></p><p class=\"wysiwyg-indent1\"> </p><p class=\"wysiwyg-indent1\"><img src=\"https://support.cronometer.com/hc/article_attachments/27058776311316\" width=\"300\" height=\"650\">    <img src=\"https://support.cronometer.com/hc/article_attachments/27058776320532\" width=\"300\" height=\"650\"></p><h3 class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-left\" id=\"h_01HZ327JKRKDPTY4R4XPG2EM9Y\">Servings Based</h3><p class=\"wysiwyg-indent1 wysiwyg-text-align-left\">If your recipe can be divided into a set number of servings, <em>e.g. 1 full pie provides 8 servings</em>.</p><p class=\"wysiwyg-indent1 wysiwyg-text-align-left\">Then you should select Servings Based. </p><p class=\"wysiwyg-indent1 wysiwyg-text-align-left\">You can then enter the serving size as a fraction of the full recipe, <em>e.g. 8 slices of pie per recipe.</em></p><p class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-center wysiwyg-indent1\"> </p><h3 class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-left\" id=\"h_01HZ327JKR40PTS9EV5R3S30V7\">Weight Based</h3><p class=\"wysiwyg-indent1\">If it is easier to portion your recipe based on weight you should select Weight Based.</p><p class=\"wysiwyg-indent1\">The gram value will automatically default to the weight of the full recipe. You can save your recipe now or swipe back to the previous screens to make edits.</p><p class=\"wysiwyg-indent1 wysiwyg-text-align-left\"><img class=\"wysiwyg-image-resized\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1320/2868; width: 50%;\" src=\"https://support.cronometer.com/hc/article_attachments/50656577962004\" width=\"1320\" height=\"2868\"><br><br> </p><p class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-center wysiwyg-indent1\"> </p><p>Tap \"Save Recipe\" to save your Custom Recipe or \"Add to Diary\".</p><p>It will now populate your custom recipes list on the foods tab. You can now search for your recipe by name and <a style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" href=\"https://support.cronometer.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018193011\">add it to your diary</a> just like any other food. To search for a custom food or recipe more easily, search using the <a href=\"https://support.cronometer.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018955211\" target=\"_self\">Custom tab</a> in the Search dialogue.</p><h2 class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-left\" id=\"h_01HZ327JKRFAGCW5WR53XYFG70\">\n<br>Delete/Retire a Custom Recipe</h2><p>You can delete your custom recipe by navigating to the <strong>Foods</strong> tab &gt; <strong>Custom Recipes</strong> and tapping on the recipe you would like to delete.
